To whoever out there is reading this post, I wanted to say thank you for checking out my blog.
I would never consider myself a good writer, as many of my past teachers have told me, but I decided to start a blog anyways. Partly because I love playing around with web design, but also because I wanted to share my story with you all. I have learned many important lessons throughout the course of my short, twenty-year-old life. I have had many wonderful experiences. Some others are not so great. Regardless of what has happened in my past, I have learned and grown into a stronger individual because of it.
Now a little bit about me.
As I said above, I am a twenty-year-old college student (kind of, because I’m on medical leave). I was in the middle of the fall semester of my junior year when I had to leave school in order to seek treatment for my eating disorder. I have been dealing with my eating disorder on-and-off since I was sixteen, but it took full force and required me to seek a higher level of care. I am happy to say that I am currently doing outpatient treatment and no longer in residential treatment. That story will come at a later time. During my time off from school, I am busy exploring my various interests and genuinely taking care of myself.
Despite my struggles with food, I thoroughly enjoy baking & cooking. So I couldn’t think of a better place to share this all with you. My mom and I make dinner homemade nearly every night. And in preparation for a large charity event coming up soon, there is constantly baking going on in my house. I am also working on integrating exercise, healthily, into my weekly routine.
I want to share all these new and exciting life adventures coming up with you. I will be posting anything and everything, from recipes to self-care activities and more. Keep checking back for new content!
